School Uniform

We do have a school uniform at Greenfylde. Although the wearing of a uniform is not compulsory,
most parents choose to dress their children in it as it helps make them look smart and proud of
their association with the school.

Available from the school

Logo Sweatshirt or cardigan (please note children may wear navy sweatshirts or cardigans from other suppliers)

Book bag (or equivalent from own choice of supplier)

Available from other suppliers*:

Dark grey trousers/skirts/shorts/pinafores

Optional blue/white gingham check dresses (generally girls)

White polo shirts

Grey socks (generally worn by boys), white socks or grey tights (generally worn by girls)

Black school shoes (Velcro ideal if unable to yet tie own shoelaces)

PE – white t-shirt (no buttons), navy or black shorts, joggers in grey/navy/black preferably without big logos (children will be coming in their PE kit on PE days and still wearing school jumper/cardigan)

Daps (black) and trainers

Small bag if required

Lunchbox if required

Water bottle to refill daily which must be named.

Coat – suitable for wet weather with a hood

Cap or other sun hat

For forest school days they wear own clothes that can get muddy but do need wellington boots.

All stationery will be provided by the school so children do not need to bring in pencil cases etc

* Suppliers include:

Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda, M&S. Matalan, John Lewis, Clarks, Shoezone etc

There are also a range of online suppliers, try searching for school uniform supplies online.

We also have some good quality second hand uniform for sale – for further information please speak to the school office.

The wearing of jewellery to school is not encouraged although for children with pierced ears small
‘stud type’ earrings are allowed. They must be removed for P.E. and a small box should be
provided for their safekeeping.

Please ensure that all your child’s items of clothing are labelled clearly with their name as one
school navy sweatshirt looks very much like another!
