Look who popped in to our Forest School log cabin this week! Everyone had huge smiles as they met a very special visitor to school and found a present for their class. Thanks to Father Christmas and the Chief Elf for making a very magical morning and for the support of FrOGS.

Well done to all our school groups who took part in the Christmas Tree festival and went along to help Rev Jo light the trees. Our groups raised funds for a range of organisations including Save the Children, Fairtrade and Royal British Legion.

Thank you to the Ilminster Christmas Lights Committee for inviting our children to come and sing in the Market Square. We combined this with our Victorian History day and Year 3s helped by some Year 4s sung beautifully to share in the joy of Christmas. Many families came to support and thanks to Angie from Cottage Flowers for the chocolates

Pudsey, spots and bright colours were everywhere as children and staff supported Children in Need with a non uniform day, helping the school develop its courageous advocacy for children everywhere.

We were proud to observe the two minutes silence today with the rest of Ilminster to give our thanks to those who have and continue to give us peace in our world.

Our very thoughtful Key Stage 2 pupils have been thinking and reflecting on the meaning of remembrance and have produced poems and artwork to share with the community. These are currently on the school fence and will also be displayed in Ilminster Library.

Many families at Greenfylde supported Blytheswood Care in filling a Christmas shoebox to give to others. These were accepted at a service at The Minster last Sunday.
